Major Leauge Soccer team Cincinnati confirmed on Thursday that the construction of its new West End Stadium is still rolling along as planned, with no hiccups despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Fortunately, the construction of the stadium is considered essential, so we've continued," the team's chief operating officer Dennis Carroll told MLS official website on Thursday. "There's been no scheduled timing issues to date. Our other concern is supply chain issues that may pop up. But so far, we haven't seen any there. It's moving along."

The club is set to open the West End Stadium in 2021, and the 250 million US dollars stadium will have a capacity of between 25,500 to 26,000 fans.

The MLS 2020 season is now suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
