Traffic accident in SW China's Sichuan kills six, injures 28

A total of six people were killed and 28 others were injured in a traffic accident involving one car, a coach and a truck in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Friday.

The accident happened at around 16:40 at a section of Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway in Sichuan's Nanchong City when the truck crashed with the car and then the coach which was running at the opposite lane.

The coach was carrying 35 people including two drivers while the number of people aboard the car was not yet known.

The truck has only one driver, the local authority said without elaborating details of the casualties.

Multiple departments including the police, fire and traffic have responded to the scene.

Cause of the accident is not immediately clear.
