At least two people were killed after a huge earthquake struck near a popular holiday destination off the Turkish coast on Thursday, reported AFP.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), a 6.7-magnitude earthquake jolted off Bodrum, southwest Turkey at 22:31 GMT on Thursday.
China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) recorded a 6.8-magnitude earthquake, with the epicenter monitored at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Strong tremors were felt in Bodrum, said witnesses. Local government officials have urged residents not to stay indoors.
The quake could cause a small tsunami in the area, European quake agency EMSC warned on Twitter.
