Urgent: 5.8-magnitude earthquake hits southern Iran

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit Laft region in Iran's southern province of Hormozgan on Sunday, according to Iran's Seismological Center.

The earthquake took place at 4 p.m. local time (1230 GMT), with the focus at the depth of 13 km, 26.925 degrees north latitude and 55.875 degrees east longitude.
