All counties in China's Sichuan have cast off poverty: official

The last seven counties in Southwest China's Sichuan Province have been removed from the country's list of impoverished counties, according to an official statement from the Sichuan provincial government on Tuesday.

This means all 88 impoverished county-level regions in Sichuan have shaken off poverty, amid the country's efforts to eradicate absolute poverty by the end of 2020.
