Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday welcomed groups representing farmers, civil society and independent entrepreneurs to make use of the government's latest program called "Have Problems, Consult the PM," to voice their grievances and problems directly to him.

"The 'Have Problems, Consult the PM' program was initiated by me, especially the present economic woes, drought, and many other issues," said Prayut, assuring all that the government is working hard to alleviate their hardships.

"By meeting with the people and hearing their problems directly, the government will then be able to get first-hand information, and hopefully we can then find remedies to mitigate their problems," said Prayut.

The first session for the people to tell their problems to the premier will begin next week.

Prayut said he will decide whether the forum will be held every Thursday.
