The European Union (EU) on Sunday expressed great concern over the deadly bombing near the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in Cairo.
"Our thoughts are with the victims of this heinous act, and their families. We reiterate the EU's condemnation of terrorism in all its forms," the European External Action Service spokesman said in a statement.
The Egyptian Interior Ministry said two Egyptian police officers were killed and six recruits wounded in a blast on Sunday near the Foreign Ministry building in Cairo.
And a civilian was injured in the explosion, official news agency MENA quoted assistant interior minister Abdel Fattah Othman as saying.
