Uygur Islamic leader shares the reality of religions in China

At the Boao Forum for Asia, three Chinese religious figures representing Buddhism, Islam and Catholicism attended a forum to talk about the importance of religions in the Belt and Road construction.

Born and raised in Xinjiang, Abudurehap Tumuniyaz, vice-president of China Islamic Association and head of China Islamic Academy, received a lot of attention. At the forum, he comprehensively explained the development of religions and diverse cultures in Xinjiang, debunking the false portrayal of the region by some Western media.
