A second fire is believed to have occurred at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) in Johor Baru, this time at the operation theatre in its emergency and trauma ward.

Hospital staff wearingblue-coloured uniforms as well as patients were seen rushing out of the trauma ward.

According to a volunteer, smoke was seen coming out of the operation room located in the first floor of the building.

A fire engine was seen entering the hospital grounds and hospital staff, patients, and public were asked to evacuate the area.

This is the second time that a fire has happened at HSA in the space of two days.

It is believed that it was a small fire and the situation is now under control.

Another fire broke out at the hospital on Monday morning, killing six patients at the hospital's intensive care unit.

It took two hours for firefighters to put out the blaze, which early investigations showed was caused by faulty wiring that led to a short circuit on the third floor of the hospital.

The Sultanah Aminah Hospital is one of Malaysia's busiest with 294 patients and 193 employees.
