The U.S. dollar changed hands at the upper 114 yen level early Thursday in Tokyo, remaining at a seven- year high hit overnight in New York on U.S. midterm election results.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 114.63-68 yen compared with 114.60-70 yen in New York and 114.41-42 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The euro fetched 1.2477-2478 dollars and 143.06-13 yen against 1.2480-2490 dollars and 143.09-19 yen in New York and 1.2516-2518 dollars and 143.20-24 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
