After Mr. Liu Mingjiang, the Chief Financial Officer of POWERCHINA, read the proposal, Mr. Yan Zhiyong declared the launch of the proposal together with the Ministers from the countries participating in the Belt and Road initiative and the representatives from business associations and financial institutions in China.
This proposal includes three chapters, “connectivity for common prosperity”, “green development for eco-environment” and “Integration and innovation for high-quality development”, which indicate the determination and confidence of POWERCHINA to protect eco-environment and promote quality and sustainable development of international infrastructure together with all parties.
The President of People's Republic of China Xi Jinping points out that, the key for jointly constructing the “Belt and Road” is connectivity and the infrastructure is the cornerstone of connectivity, which is also the development bottleneck that many countries are facing. The infrastructure construction is closely related to the eco-environment. Only by coordinating the development of infrastructure construction with the eco-environment can sustainable development be realized, the Belt and Road be truly built into a green road, and our shared home be protected.
This proposal indicates that POWERCHINA is committed to the construction of the Belt and Road. As a leading construction company, POWERCHINA will continue to implement the philosophy of green development, protect the eco-environment and promote quality and sustainable development of international infrastructure. POWERCHINA will give a full play to our expertise in water and power, in planning and designing, in construction, investment and operation, joining hands with all parties to further promote quality construction and sustainable development of the “Belt and Road” with POWERCHINA’s wisdom, planning and strength.
