Update: China's Hubei reports no increase in COVID-19 cases

The provincial health commission said Hubei had 621 asymptomatic cases under medical observation by Sunday, adding that 17 such cases were reported Sunday.

WUHAN, April 13 (Xinhua) -- No new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported in central China's Hubei Province Sunday, local health authority said Monday.

On Sunday, the province reported two new deaths, both in the provincial capital of Wuhan.

The provincial health commission said Hubei had 621 asymptomatic cases under medical observation by Sunday, adding that 17 such cases were reported Sunday.

Fifty-seven COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospital after recovery on Sunday. Among the 244 patients being treated in hospital, 38 were still in severe condition and 37 others in critical condition.

Hubei has so far reported 67,803 confirmed COVID-19 cases in total, including 50,008 in Wuhan. ■
