Xi stresses importance of studying CPC history in group study session

President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has stressed the importance of studying the Party's history and carrying on its tradition so as to make new progress.

Xi made the remarks Friday when addressing a group study session of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.

The leaders also visited the "Red Building" in Peking University during the group session.
