BANKE, OCT. 6 – Six people died while 17 others were injured when a passenger van and a truck collided in Banke section of East-West highway on Saturday morning.
According to the Chief District Officer of Banke Madan Bhujel, 6 people breathed their last when the micro van ((Ra. 1 Kha 1662)) heading to Nepalgunj from Dang collided with a truck ((Lu. 1 Kha 7729)) from the opposite direction.
The Injured are undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College.
According to the CDO, the driver of the microvan and three female passengers died on the spot while other two died amidst treatment.
The driver of the truck has been arrested by the local police.
