Senior official stresses rule-of-law measures to tackle poverty, boost prosperity

Guo Shengkun, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has urged efforts to strengthen rule-of-law measures for accomplishing the nation's poverty alleviation goals and completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects.

At a work planning meeting on Tuesday, Guo, also head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, called for working in line with major decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee, while focusing on implementing tasks in key areas and major fields.

Guo also underlined the need to actively adapt to the long-term COVID-19 control measures and promote legislation and law revision in the public health sector.
