NASA released new photographs of their Perseverance Mars rover Friday. The rover can be seen from a camera on its “jetpack,” capturing it floating to the surface of the Red Planet just moments before its wheels touched down Thursday. After its 6-month 292.5 million-mile journey from Earth, the rover will now do an astrobiological investigation of the ancient environment on Mars.
