Jordan on Monday confirmed the first case of the novel coronavirus infection in the country, state-run Petra news agency reported.

The first case is a Jordanian in his early 30s who came back recently from Italy and had been kept in quarantine for days, Jordanian Health Minister Saad Jaber said.
