Trump rejects call to testify at Senate impeachment trial

Former U.S. President Donald Trump will not testify under oath at his Senate impeachment trial, according to his lawyers.

The Senate impeachment trial of Trump, the first U.S. President to face such a trial twice, is due to begin next week.

Trump is accused of inciting insurrection when he urged supporters to "fight" his election defeat before they stormed the Capitol.
