A range of new measures to combat a possible second wave of COVID-19 infections is being considered by the UK government, amid concern over a rise in new infections.
There has been a suggestions of a series of so called "circuit breakers," including possible two week lockdowns across England, to slow the current speed of spread of the virus.
Speaking to CGTN, Simon Clarke, Associate Professor of Cellular Microbiology at the University of Reading, said "We are not in the same place we were in back in March, but we might get there. So this is an attempt to get ahead of the curve."
