'Gut-wrenching' : music stars react to Manchester Arena attack

Music stars from around the world have reacted to the suspected terror attack at Manchester Arena that killed 22 people.

The entertainment world has come together on social media to offer their sympathies to those caught up in the bombing at an Ariana Grande concert on Monday night.

"I'm heartbroken over what happened in Manchester tonight. Sending love to everyone involved," said former One Direction star Harry Styles.

"Absolutely Horrendous what happened in Manchester tonight. My thoughts are with the great people of Manchester and also Ari and her team," said his former band mate Niall Horan.

"Especially when there will be so many children at this concert tonight."

Other stars from across the Atlantic sent their prayers.

Katy Perry said she would be "praying for everyone", while Cher sent out hers for "the people of Manchester".

Superstar Taylor Swift, who is good friends with Grande, wrote: "My thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected by the Manchester tragedy tonight. I'm sending all my love."
