As 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Belarus, an oil painting exhibition featuring masterpieces from Belarusian artists has opened at the National Art Museum of China, aiming to enhance cultural and artistic ties between China and Belarus.

The exhibition features well-known Belarusian artists, including Repin, Levitan and Makovsky. All the 57 pieces, spanning from the 19th century to the 20th century, are classic works from the National Art Museum of Belarus.

Portraits, landscapes, and still-lifes from artists of different generations and different artistic traditions and styles create a holistic picture of the development of the Belarusian art school.
