China opposes U.S. suppression of Chinese companies in Iran-related sanctions

China urged the United States to cease the unreasonable suppression of Chinese companies and individuals, stated a spokesperson from China's Ministry of Commerce on Monday, while commenting on new Iran-related sanctions involving Chinese entities and nationals.

The spokesperson, in a statement published on the ministry's website, affirmed that China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and individuals.
