Jifeng, a village of just over 1,000 people, was one of the most impoverished villages in central China's Hunan Province. It had poor transportation, underdeveloped infrastructure and a sluggish economy. The lack of financial resources led to low income and many households were poverty-stricken. This story, however is not just about the remote village, but about two men who became "blood brothers".
