China asks U.S. to clarify claims made by former CIA official

China hopes the U.S. clarifies whether the remarks made by Lawrence Wilkerson, chief of staff to former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell, about the possibility of the CIA destabilizing China with ethnical unrest and intentionally use Xinjiang as a pawn to cause social unrest and push China from the inside, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Friday.
