U.S. airstrikes hit targets in Iraq and Syria

The United States is defending airstrikes it carried out in Syria and Iraq over the weekend. It says the strikes were against militias aligned with Iran. Both the Syrian and Iraqi governments are calling the strikes a violation of their sovereignty.
