It’s one benefit you might say of the COVID-19 pandemic: Americans are spending a lot more time outdoors.

Trails, bike paths and backcountry areas have become more crowded than ever sinceindoor activities are limited due to higher virus transmission. The outdoor industry has benefited as a result.
