Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday that China encourages medical cooperation between China and Uzbekistan to promote the construction of a community of health for all between the two countries.

Wang made the remarks as he held talks with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov on the sidelines of the second China plus Central Asia (C+C5) foreign ministers meeting in the Chinese city of Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province.

He said that the two countries cooperation in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic has shown promising results so has their vaccine cooperation, adding that China hopes Uzbekistan can assist Chinese nationals in the country getting vaccinated.

Wang said that the Chinese side encourages the two countries' enterprises to continue vaccine cooperation and strengthening communication in the domain of modern medicine, such as telemedicine.

Kamilov said that Uzbekistan is willing to assist Chinese nationals in getting vaccinated. And the country hopes that the two sides could further strengthen their cooperation in reducing poverty, promoting interconnectivity, and cracking down on the 'three evil forces' of terrorism, extremism, and separatism.
