Across the world, progressive and leftist groups celebrated May Day which takes place on May 1.
The day was selected as International Workers Day in 1889 to commemorate the Haymarket affair in Chicago.
Today, people demonstrated for immigration rights, labor unions, covid protections, and against authoritarianism.
