Chinese, Iranian FMs discuss nuclear talks, bilateral ties over phone

China welcomed Iran's decision to return to nuclear talks at the end of this month, saying it reflects Iran's positive gesture of commitment to resume compliance to the nuclear deal.

On Saturday, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi made the remark during a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, who appreciated China's positive position and constructive role in the issue, adding the Iranian side is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with China in this regard.

The two diplomats also discussed issues including bilateral ties and cooperation.
