Myanmar reports 4 local COVID-19 cases, brings total number to 20

Four more local transmission cases of COVID-19 were reported in Myanmar, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 20, said a release from the Health and Sports Ministry Thursday.

Four family members were tested positive on Thursday after being under home quarantine in Bago region as they were in close contact with the 15th confirmed patient who was a nurse working at a private health clinic in Yangon.

As of Thursday, Myanmar has reported 12 imported cases and eight local transmission cases.

Of the total confirmed patients, 17 patients are in good condition while two are being treated in Intensive Care Units, the ministry's release said. One death was confirmed Tuesday because of COVID-19.
