Afghanistan: Explosions hit western Kabul

Explosions hit the west of Kabul on Tuesday, with casualties reported.

Kabul police spokesperson Khalia Zadran said "three different explosions at Abdul Rahim Shaheed High School in the 18th District had caused casualties to our Shia compatriots and we will share the details later."

The Ministry of Interior confirmed a blast took place near Abdul Raheem Shaheed High School, saying an investigation into the incident has started, TOLO News reported.

Eyewitnesses said that the blast near "Mumtaz" training center in the west of Kabul was caused by a hand grenade, and that at least five people were wounded.

Russia's Sputnik News reported six people were killed and dozens injured, citing sources. Local media outlet Etilaatroz reported that 25 people were killed. There has been no official announcement on the death toll so far.
