Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) signed here on Thursday a Military Cooperation Plan with the U.S. for the year 2020, the country's Ministry of Defense announced in a press release.
During the signing ceremony in the Ministry of Defense, it was mutually agreed on 129 joint activities to further enhance the capabilities of BiH's Armed Forces.
On behalf of the BiH side, Zoran Sajinovic, assistant to the minister of defense for international cooperation, emphasized that the U.S. is the number one strategic partner for BiH.
Michael Tarquinto, the defense attache of the U.S. Embassy to BiH, noted that the Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2020 is based on successful projects over the years.
The program is implemented through mutual visits, participation in exercises, emergency crisis response operations such as rescue operations, flood response, and response to chemical incidents.
