UN nuclear watchdog chief arrives in South Korea amid protests

Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, arrived in Seoul on Friday after leaving Japan, South Korean media reported on Saturday.

Grossi, who was met by a group of angry protesters in Seoul over the agency's review of Japan's nuclear-contaminated water release plan, is expected to meet senior South Korean officials including the head of the country's Nuclear Safety and Security Commission and the foreign minister, according to local media.
