5.1-magnitude quake hits 83km S of L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand -- USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted 83km S of L'Esperance Rock, New Zealand at 1020 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 11.15 km, was initially determined to be at 32.1828 degrees south latitude and 179.0085 degrees west longitude.
