Ajit Kumar Doval, India’s national security adviser on Saturday said that nowadays more than 200 terrorists were attempting to cross the Kashmir border from Pakistan to get to India.
Speaking to the media he said, “There are about 230 persons ready to infiltrate from different parts of Kashmir.”
Doval added, “A large number of weapons are being smuggled and people in Kashmir are being told to create trouble.”
He calculated the number of terrorists from radio intercepts and intelligence reports. Doval also accused Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan of incting violence in the Kashmir region.
Pakistan has been critical of India since it imposed security restrictions on Kashmir in early August when the Indian government bifurcated Jammu and Kashmir, revokig its special powers.
He further added, “About restrictions Doval said, “We would like to see all restrictions go, but it depends on how Pakistan behaves. It’s a stimulant and response situation. ”
In the last few days some curbs have been lifted and landline phones in houses are functional now. Though internet services remain suspended.
