Suez Canal shipping backlog ends on Saturday: Canal authority

The last ships stranded by the grounding of the giant container vessel Ever Given in the Suez Canal passed through the waterway on Saturday, according to the Suez Canal Authority (SCA).

The SCA said a total of 422 ships passed the canal on Saturday, and the backlog that built up during the crisis had ended.
