Three workers with Mexican national oil company PEMEX killed in armed attacks

An armed squad attacked workers of the Mexican national oil company, PEMEX, in the state of Tabasco Thursday, leaving three dead and three more injured.

Jose Guadalupe Yan Diaz, the director of public security for the city of Huimanguillo in Tabasco, told the press that the PEMEX workers, who originated from Las Choapas in Veracruz, had been carrying out operations at the Aacayote oil well located in the Cardenas municipality. They were attacked by unknown assailants in the area of Huapacal when they were driving home.

Two workers were shot dead at the site and the third one was run over by a pick-up truck carrying two of the injured workers to a hospital in nearby Cardenas. The third injured worker was transported to another hospital in the state of Veracruz. Enditem
