Top American universities send Chinese New Year wishes

The ChineseLantern Festivaltakes place Friday. It’s the 15th day of the first lunar month, and the last day of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Presidents of many well-known American universities, including the University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and Indiana University, thanked Chinese students and scholars for their scientific research, and the cultural diversity brought to American campuses.

Many recorded greetings via the online Lantern Festival Gala hosted by the Chinese Consulate General in Chicago.
