Kyrgyzstan adopting China's experience in fighting coronavirus

Kyrgyzstan is adopting China's rigorous measures in fighting the coronavirus, a senior public health official said here Monday.

Ainura Akmatova, head of the public health department of the Health Ministry, said at a news briefing China's experience would prove invaluable for Kyrgyzstan.

"We are always in contact with Chinese specialists. The Chinese side shares with us all the best practices and clinical guidelines," she said.

Akmatova said that a direct video conference was held with medical specialists who participated in fighting the COVID-19 outbreak in China.

Kyrgyzstan reported no new cases of COVID-19 in the past day.

As of Monday morning, there are 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, all of them imported.
