Camera traps installed by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) recently recorded another Asiatic black bear (Ursus Thibetanus) in Vietnam's central province of Quang Nam, about 650km south of capital Hanoi.

Local Vietnam News daily reported Wednesday, quoting sources from the WWF communications department as saying that the Asiatic black bear is listed by IUCN in its Red list of endangered species.

The discovery is believed to be an important indicator of conservation efforts on the ground to improve the quality of forests, ranked as one of the world's rich biodiversity spots.

The Asiatic black bear was captured on WWF's camera trap for the second time since December 2012, when a number of camera traps had determined the presence of important animal species.
