5.6-magnitude earthquake hits southwest China's Sichuan

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit Shiqu County of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was monitored at 33.04 degrees north latitude and 98.92 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km.
