The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Thursday declared that seven Palestinians have been infected with COVID-19 in the West Bank.

A total of seven among 20 examined tested positive with COVID-19, PA Health Minister Mai Kaileh said in a press conference in the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Those 20 suspected to carry the virus worked at a hotel in Bethlehem and were in contact with a group of Greek tourists who stayed between February 23 and 27, some of whom tested positive after they returned home, the minister said.

The seven COVID-19 cases were admitted to a quarantine center that has been particularly set up for treatment.
