China's central gov't liaison office in HK supports NPC Standing Committee's decision on HKSAR LegCo

The Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) on Tuesday voiced firm support for the decision made by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) for the sixth Legislative Council (LegCo) of the HKSAR to continue performing duties.

The decision was made in accordance with the Constitution and the HKSAR Basic Law, the office said in a statement, stressing the unchallengeable legal authority of the decision.
