Online doctor consultation platform for novel coronavirus receives 118,000 visits

An online doctor consultation platform for combating the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) had received 118,000 visits by the end of Tuesday, according to the Beijing Evening News on Thursday.

The free online platform was opened to the public on Feb. 1. Citizens can access the platform by following the WeChat account of the Beijing Medical Association.

About 2,000 doctors joined the consultations and answered 4,293 questions, said Feng Guosheng, head of the Beijing Medical Association.

Pictures, texts, audio clips and videos can be sent via the platform through its online consultation service, according to Feng.
