WUHAN, May 19 (Xinhua) -- One new confirmed COVID-19 case was reported in central China's Hubei Province on Monday, the provincial health commission said Tuesday.
The commission said the patient was confirmed after having been reported as an asymptomatic case under observation in the provincial capital Wuhan. As of Monday, Hubei had 285 asymptomatic cases under medical observation.
Hubei had reported 68,135 confirmed COVID-19 cases in total, including 50,340 in Wuhan.
By Monday, the death toll from the virus in the province stood at 4,512, including 3,869 in Wuhan.
A total of 283,665 people in close contact with the confirmed COVID-19 patients in the province had been tracked by Monday, 844 of whom are still under medical observation. ■
