One of the four men arrested by Australian police over an alleged airplane terrorist plot has been released from police custody in Sydney without charges on Tuesday night.
The four were arrested last Saturday by the New South Wales Joint Counter-Terrorism team after intelligence reported them of attempting to bring down a passenger plane using an improvised device smuggled onto the flight by hiding it in a meat grinder.
The four men who were identified as Khaled Khayat, Mahmoud Khayat, Abdul El Karim Merhi and Khaled Merhi, were believed to have deep connections to the ISIL in Syria, according to local media.
