Full Frame: Susan Sarandon on her career and charity work

With a career spanning 47 years, Susan Sarandon is widely recognized not only for her acting but also for her social and political activism for a variety of causes.

The Academy Award-winning actress starred in films like "Dead Man Walking", "Thelma & Louise", "The Client" and demonstrated her range in versatility in modern movies such as "Speed Racer", "Arbitrage" and "Cloud Atlas".

In addition to her work in front of and behind cameras, Susan Sarandon is also a humanitarian activist. She dedicates her time and resources to advocate for social and political justice, as well as being an outspoken voice on issues such as world hunger, HIV/AIDS awareness, and LGBTQ rights.

She's also served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and Goodwill Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization under the United Nations.

She recently shifted her focus to helping those affected by the devastating earthquake in Nepal in the April of 2015, in which more than 9,000 people died and those who survived are still suffering.

Susan Sarandon was on the ground with the Nepalese people and hopes to encourage tourists from around the world to visit that beautiful nation.

She sits down with CGTN to talk about her illustrious career and her recent work in Nepal.
