Two police officers killed in Florida gunfight

Two police officers were killed in a gunfight Thursday in the U.S. state of Florida, according to local authorities.

The shooting took place near the intersection of State Road 26 and East Wade Street in Trenton City in Gilchrist County, the county's sheriff's office said in a statement.

A gunman shot at the two police officers, who were buying food, through a restaurant window. The gunman was also killed but the cause of his death was unrevealed, according to the authorities.

Local police have yet to identify a motive for the attack.
