Four Russian nationals have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of COVID-19 cases in Russia to 14, the country's coronavirus control and prevention task force said Saturday.
Three of the infected are in Lipetsk and two have no obvious symptoms, while one is in Russia's second largest city of St. Petersburg, the task force told reporters.
All four patients had been to Italy over the past two weeks, it said.
So far, 14 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed within Russia, in addition to another three infected people evacuated from the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan.
Among the 14 people, there are 11 Russians who all visited Italy, two Chinese and one Italian. The two Chinese patients and one Russian have all recovered.
