Ever since China’s military announced earlier this year that the armed forces will end paid-for services within the next three years, a total of 1,903 paid services have been put to an end so far.

These paid-for services include hospitals, real estates, and reception hotels. Among them, 375 involved in medical services, 1,434 were related to real estates, and 24 belonged to reception and hospitality.

According to the Central Military Commission, the armed forces must not sign any new contracts for paid services and allow existing contracts to expire.

In late 2015, China initiated a new round of military reforms. Paid services were flagged to be removed, to reduce corruption in the army.
